I ordered take out from Hot Eastern yesterday. I used the app linked from their web page and Facebook pages. The app is The appetizers were Hot and Sour soup, and several items on skewers. The grilled ear of corn had interesting spices but it is not corn season and it might as well have been field corn. I knew it was not corn season so this was not a problem. The chicken wing skewer had two large wing flats which were fantastic. The lamb skewer was tiny and lamb was chewy but had great flavor. The potato skewer was delicious but had 3 thin slices of potato for $1.50. Think three potato chips! It was not close to the potato shown on the review photo (Yelp photo 55 of 343) with a full sliced potato on a skewer. I rate the potato skewer a rip-off. The hot and sour soup was ordered Extra Hot but needed hot oil. After adding hot oil the soup is good, But could also use more vinegar for more sour flavor. The Hot Oil provided by Hot Eastern is excellent. Very spicy and flavorful. The main items were Spicy Cumin Lamb, Double Cooked Pork Belly, and Fried Noodles with pork, beef and shrimp. All the mains tasted great. had a problem with the fried noodles. It would not allow selection of multiple meat additions. I selected pork and added a not requesting shrimp and beef too. I offered to pay the $2 charge on pickup. I didn't need to. The Hot Eastern was aware of my request - they put through a separate credit card charge for $2 The noodles arrived without any shrimp or beef. I also requested that the Cumin Lamb come without lettuce and with scallions. It came with lettuce. I can only conclude there is a problem with request notes added to the online order items. Extra Hot at the Hot Eastern is not hot. Next time i go Super Hot. The hot oil was added to the mains as well as the soup. Bottom line - a great meal with some problems.

Could've been spicier. Not a large portion.
