The goofy thing about ordering on line is after clicking on the food and telling them you'll be picking it up, you still need to call to
find out when it will be ready. They told me 20 minutes-it took at least 30. I'd been traveling all day up from Florida and was not happy cooling my heals. A little too much light hearted inter-kitchen banter instead of taking care of business What's the point of all the on-line stuff if it doesn't buy you time and convenience?
There is no great Chinese food in Kingston it's all kinda okay and not authentic. I've traveled widely in China and even compared to NYC's Chinatown, there's no competition up here. You order Kung Pau chicken, there are no roasted peppers-those skinny blackened jobs etc. That said you could do worse going elsewhere. I'm sure if they went off on a limb and cooked some actual authentic Hunan or Szechuan dishes this place could corner the market. Instead they opt for the usual eh-kinda Chinese. The Moo Shu Pork was ok as were the dumplings-watch out for the Szechuan dumplings as they are smothered by peanut sauce which I could do without. Scallion pancakes were greasy and looked like they were thrown in a fryolator instead of a wok. I doubt they make them from scratch having made them myself. They are friendly there though, the kitchen looks clean etc. Sorry to
be so negative but that's the way it is.
