Celebrating over 10 years in fine food and fun
After spending 6 years as a sushi chef in Japan, Brian Ni decided to come to America. He moved to New York, and after 3 more years of preparing the finest sushi, he visited his sister Jeanne in Wisconsin. It was during this time he future wife, Erica. Together Brian, Jeanne and Erica decided it was time to bring their talents to Madison. They opened Takara Japanese Restaurant on State Street in 2002. Their love of bringing a truly great dining experience led them to opening Takara II on Whitney Way in 2006 and a third location in Middleton in 2014. Each location offers a unique and excellent experience. We look forward to serving you and continuing a tradition of outstanding dining.
