called them to notify them of the missing item and indicated I come back to pick them, which I could but was out of my way to do so. Furthermore, when I was on the phone I got hung up on, then called back never picked up. Half of it is my fault for not checking the bag when I picked it up, I guess I figured everything would be there since it is checked off on the receipt.

The food was fantastic!!!!! The delivery took 90 minutes which is ridiculous! Other delivery services for the same restaurant take 45 minutes.

Generally authentic flavors but the quality can vary across orders. Some of the dishes are soggy after sitting around for delivery so care should be taken when picking from the menu.

Pork fried rice was bland. Delivery man didn't want to deliver to my door, but have me come to lobby. I figured the 5.00 delivery charge got it to my lobby, but if he wanted a tip, he shouldn't ask me to come down to lobby in my PJ's.

There is no info on the actual delivery time - you have to call the restaurant. I did and the service I got was awful. They pick up the phone, don't answer simple questions like "When can I expect my order delivered?" and just put the phone down to leave you hanging. Not what you expect from a restaurant these days - feels more like the typical, rude Chinese restaurant staff of old days. And when the food did arrive, it was lukewarm and not even very tasty. Lao Szechuan's standards have either slipped or the cook was having a bad day. I have been going to and ordering from Lao Szechuan for many years - maybe their fame has affected their quality. Yesterday was not what I had seen before. I need to reconsider ordering from them again. I am unable to recommend any of the dishes I got yesterday - so, sorry, Lao Szechuan. You have to buck up and improve your standards.

While a great dinner at LSC is one of the best dinners you'll ever have, they tend to be erratic, and some meals are not up to par. This applies to delivery as well. On a Monday night, delivery took an hour-and-a-half, and some of the items suffered from it. The "crack chicken" (Three Chili Chicken) was soggy; the string beans with black beans were way overcooked, and the peapod leaves had lost any semblance of crisp-tender and had exuded a whole lot of their water. Clearly the time between wok and dinner plate was too long. This won't stop me from eating from LSC again, mind you, but perhaps delivery is not the way to go.
