This was my first Beyond Menu experience. I love how easy it was to order, select from the menu, and select a time for pickup. So as far as the BeyondMenu thing goes, it's a great idea and well-executed (though it still asks me to download the app, which I have already done.) On to the review of Nagoya....some good, some so-so. When I put in my order there is a space for notes, so I requested "Lots of extra pickled ginger" , which was clearly ignored since I had to use some I had at home...good thing that's where the food was going becasue we din't have nearly enough. The Eggplant with Garlic Sauce is something we order from many Asian restaurants and I have never once gotten it in which the eggplant was deep-fried...waaaay too much breading, not enough eggplant, though the sauce was tasty. As far as any of us could tell, the maki combo fishes (salmon and tuna) were ground or minced to the point that you could not tell one from the other. I am used to a much larger dice in which tuna is clearly red and salmon more orange, it was fine and fresh, but makes it hard to assess the quality of the fish when it is so mashed up. Ikura, or salmon roe sushi, is my personal fave so I doubled up on it, but the seaweed wrap was very tough and chewy. The Eel was excellent and the vegetarians in our party enjoyed the Color Roll. So I guess it was a mixed bag, but the fact that they deliver locally means I'll probably be ordering from work, and the fact that they are on my commute means I'll proabably stop for take too too, mostly thanks to Beyone Menu for making it so convenient.
