The quality of the food has gone downhill. I have given this restaurant 4 stars in the past, but it appears that they have changed their staff, and the new crew has no clue how to make the dishes they offer. Our eggplant parmigiana was plastered with mozzarella cheese (not parmesan) which probably was a cover-up for the tiny eggplant pieces that were more batter than eggplant. I threw out most of the greesy cheese, and still, I had stomach problems the next day. I almost threw up when I found a black hair in the dish, but unfortunately, I had eaten some of it already. So, I bought food that most of it ended up in the garbage and what I ate made me sick.

I enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan. It was good as you would expect from a pizza place. There was chicken and lots of cheese for sure. The eggplant was what I imagine you would get if you asked a bunch of middle school kids to give you an impression of what they would think it would be. There was lots and lots of cheese. Lots of sauce and lots of salt. After a few bites that went right in the trash. In there defense, they are known for there pizza and maybe the Chef stopped tasting that dish long ago. With regards to the salad, they have a interesting way of serving it (I had all food delivered) it comes equally full to the top so you have to crack it like an egg over a bowl if you want to eat it. That's not such a big deal but if your trying to avoid a mess or have any thoughts of eating out the container forget it. I would probably recommend sticking to the pizza.

Food was delicious, and pizzas and salads loaded with ingredients. Although I ordered on-line I did call the Berkeley store to see if they could delivery to Oakland - which they agreed to because of the order volume; then I called the morning of the delivery. Both times the staff that answered the phone were very courteous and friendly. Delivery called to say the were almost there and to confirm delivery instructions; very nice delivery man; and the delivery was made on time.
